Infos and Equipment

The laboratory, currently directed by Antonio Romano, professor at the Department of Foreign Languages, has been inaugurated in 2006 and is situated in via Sant'Ottavio 20, Turin. It contains the instruments bought by Arturo Genre between the '70s and '90s for the learning and the research and some devices and softwares earned during different projects.

Thanks to Prof. M.B. Vittoz, director of CLA-UNITO, the laboratory has found a definitive location in a hall of this centre, which provides an equipped phonetics room with a sound-proof booth and different recording and post-treatment systems).

The laboratory boasts a certain number of national and international collaborations, and is used mainly by graduating and PhD students, researchers and students attending courses in General Linguistics, Phonetics and Phonology and trainees.

There is a stable collaboration with the Atlante Linguistico Italiano of which tha laboratory forms part.
